You can't go far wrong these days with most kits on the market but, as with most things, you get what you pay for.

If you are starting out and are on a budget of around £200 to £300 then you can get a kit which is suitable for home/practice use, and the occasional gig.

If you are getting a band/group together and want a kit with good solid stands and pretty solid shells to cope with the rigours of the road, then around £500 upwards is what you should be looking to spend if possible.

This kit is 7ply all Maple shell with 2.3mm Mapex Powerhoops.
Sizes are 12in & 13in rack toms, 16in floor, 22in x 18in bass and a 14in x 5.5 Matching maple snare. Comes with Mapex 700 series hardware.
The Maple Meridian kits have a eight coat, hand-sanded, high gloss lacquer finish.
